TOUR DESCRIPTION: 

Simon was born in Slovenia and knows the Balkans like no-one else. Years spent riding around home and neighbouring countries gave him an opportunity to discover the best motorcycle routes, off-road track and interesting places to visit. The trip around Slovenia and Northern Croatia is a motorcycle trip designed by him personally and we consider it one of our best offers. These two countries have everything that makes a motorcycle holiday unforgettable – amazing nature, breathtaking views, great riding conditions, delicious food and amazing Balkan hospitality.

This motorcycle trip is an offer for those who are experienced riders, but prefer on-road adventures. 10 days out of 12 we spend on a bike and daily distances are about 100-250km depending on a day. The rest of the time we socialise and discover the local culture – we do a bit of sightseeing, food tasting and we listen to Simon’s stories about his motorcycle adventures.

The program includes visiting some of the greatest attractions in Slovenia – Lake Bled, Kranjska Gore, Soča River, Ljubljana and the Croatian coast. The tour starts in Maribor, second biggest city of Slovenia and later heads towards north-western part of the country, known for it’s beautiful high mountains, crystal clear lakes and endless forests.

Visit at the seaside is planned for the end of the trip. And will surely be a cherry on top. Blue waters of Adriatic Sea, charming architecture and Mediterranean atmosphere will make you feel a true vacation vibe.

RIDING CONDITIONS:

This is an adventure motorcycle trip with a medium level of difficulty, but the program can be adjusted to more advanced groups. During the trip, an experienced riding instructor and guide leads a group of up to 8 people along carefully selected roads and off-road tracks, providing all the necessary guidance. The areas in which we ride are characterised by excellent riding conditions. These include scenic asphalt routes with many turns, gravel routes, forest paths and completely wild forests. Participants will have the opportunity to improve their asphalt riding technique, including position on the motorcycle, cornering technique and behaviour in emergency situations. An off-road training conducted by Simon Marčič will include the following elements: off-road riding technique, turning a bike around on narrow tracks, overcoming easy off-road obstacles, riding uphill and downhill and many more.

Day 1- Meeting in Maribor, joint breakfast, briefing and optional ride around Maribor

Day 2 – ride to Logarska Dolina through Rogla and Celje

Day 3 – ride to Bled through Jezersko and Ljublana

Day 4 – ride to Soča through Kranjska Gora, Planica and Vršič Pass

Day 5 – Day in Soča

Day 6 – Ride to Trieste through Bevel and Postojna

Day 7 – Ride to Roving through Grignano (Trieste) and Piran

Day 8 – Ride to Krk Island through Pula and Opatija

Day 9 – Ride to Rab Island and the whole day on Rab

Day 10 – Ride to Plitvice through Karlobag

Day 11 – Ride to Zagreb through Karlovac and Ozalj

Day 12 – Ride to Maribor, farewell dinner
