About the trip

Motorcycle trip to Montenegro for an event for motorcycle adventure lovers ADV Summit is a trip designed personally by Simon Marčič. This is an offer primarily for people who like road trips, but when we reach the mountainous, north-eastern region of Montenegro, off-road enthusiasts will have at their disposal a great terrain for honing their off-road skills. The trip starts in Maribor in Slovenia, and its route leads through Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia to Montenegro. If you love wild nature, beautiful views, good food and proximity to the sea, you will be delighted with this trip.

Program

  • DAY 1: Maribor – meeting at the Arena Hotel, briefing, motorcycle allocation, 50 km
    ride around Maribor (tarmac 30%, off-road 70%, ride 1h)
  • DAY 2: Maribor – Plitvice – 250 km (tarmac 75%, off-road 25%, ride 6.5h)
  • DAY 3: Plitvice – Livno – 250 km

1st group – 250 km (tarmac 50%, off-road 50%, ride 7.5h)

2nd group – 250 km (tarmac 80%, off-road 20%, ride 5h)

 

  • DAY 4: Livno – Mostar – Dormitor – 280 km (tarmac 90%, off-road 10%, ride 6.5h)
    DAY 5: ADV SUMMIT Plužine – Plužine – workshops, shared ride, motorcycle tests,
    equipment presentation (off-road 90%)
  • DAY 6: ADV SUMMIT Plužine – Plužine – workshops, shared ride, motorcycle tests,
    equipment presentation (off-road 90%)
  • DAY 7: rest day, canyoning, rafting, zip-line

2nd group – 170 km – day on the Adriatic coast (tarmac 70%, off-road 30%, ride 6h)

  • DAY 11: Makarska – Knin – Zadar

Group 1 – 300 km (tarmac 50%, off-road 50%, driving 8h)

Riding conditions

The route of the tour consists of 70 % tarmac and 30% off-road (or more off-road if the group wishes) and this is a medium-difficulty motorcycle tour. During the trip, an experienced riding instructor and guide leads the group along carefully selected routes, attractive and safe in terms of riding, views and availability of restaurants, gas stations, etc. During the stay in Montenegro, tour participants who are passionate about off-road riding will have the opportunity to explore beautiful mountainous areas together with Simon Marčič. Participants will have a chance to improve their motorcycle riding skills, including: position on the motorcycle and vehicle control, correct braking technique, precise maneuvering, effective collision avoidance. Off-road training (optional) led by Simon Marčič will cover the following elements: off-road riding technique, turning the motorcycle on narrow tracks, overcoming easy off-road obstacles, riding without traction control and many other.
